Rua Opens 2022 He Ara Atawhai – Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships
Rua is now inviting specific East Coast kura to nominate students for our undergraduate scholarships as well as inviting all postgraduate students to apply for our postgraduate scholarships.
Highly skilled and engaged rangatahi are critical if we are to build a truly sustainable local economy in Te Tairāwhiti. Encouraging their potential is a way that Rua Bioscience can deliver on its commitments to positive social and economic impact on the East Coast.
Funded in part by Trust Tairawhiti, these scholarships are a key component of our Community Capability Development Programme and allow Rua Bioscience to reward individuals committed to making transformational change in their communities, encouraging our rangatahi to seek higher education with a push towards careers in health sciences.
Preference will be given to rangatahi studying the following disciplines: Horticulture; Biology; Medicine; Chemistry; Engineering; Accounting; Law; Te Reo me Ona Tikanga; Marketing; Commerce. We are particularly looking for those expressing a desire to work in the future for Rua Bioscience and other organisations based in Tairāwhiti.
